Saundaryalahari 5

You who grant all the good things,
To those who bow at your feet,
Was worshipped by the Lord Vishnu,
Who took the pretty lovable feminine form,
And could move the mind of he who burnt the cities,
And make him fall in love with him.
And the God of love, Manmatha,
Took the form which is like nectar,
Drunk by the eyes by Rati his wive,
After venerating you,
Was able to create passion,
Even in the mind of Sages the great (tr. P.R. Ramachander).

Uttararamacarita 5.16 (Bhavabhuti)

The Princes [Candraketu (Lakṣmanṇa's son) and Lava (son of Rāma)] -- (To each other). O, how noble looking this prince is! (They behold each other with love and affection).
Can it be the fortuitous conversation or the excess of excellences,
or the time-honoured friendship formed in some previous live,
or my relationship with him owing to the will of providence, not yet known to me,
that my heart feels drawn toward him at first sight? (5.16) (tr. M.R. Kale)

Śṛṅgāraśataka 14 (Bhartrhari)

sati pradīpe , saty agnau , satsu tārā-ravenduṣu , |
vinā me mṛga-śāvākṣyā , tamo-bhūtam idaṃ jagat ||14||

Scheine Lampe, glänze Feuer, leuchte Sonne, Mond und Stern;
